Frequently Asked Questions

  • This is a personalized luxury wine touring experience designed for small groups of up to six guests. Rather than offering a rigid, one-size-fits-all itinerary, each journey is thoughtfully tailored around your group’s pace, interests, and ideal wine country experience.

Booking begins through the “Book Now” page, where guests simply choose the tour duration that best fits their day. Once your reservation is confirmed, we personally connect with you to learn more about your group — the wines you enjoy, the atmosphere you’re looking for, and the kind of day you hope to have.

From there, we curate a seamless road trip through Northern Michigan wine country. Guests are picked up within Traverse City city limits and guided through either the rolling vineyards and coastal hills of Leelanau County or the scenic wineries and old farm roads of Old Mission Peninsula. Depending on timing and pace, some tours may even explore both peninsulas in a single unforgettable day.

The experience is relaxed, refined, and intentionally personal — combining exceptional wineries, beautiful landscapes, thoughtful conversation, and the freedom to simply enjoy the journey.

  • Both the Leelanau Peninsula and Old Mission Peninsula offer beautiful cool-climate wines, dramatic Lake Michigan scenery, and some of the most memorable wine touring in the Midwest. But the character of each trail feels distinctly different — almost like two interpretations of Northern Michigan wine country.

    The Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail

Leelanau tends to feel broader, quieter, and more exploratory. The landscape unfolds through winding coastal roads, rolling hills, forests, inland lakes, and vineyard-covered ridges. Wineries are more spread out, giving the experience the atmosphere of a leisurely countryside road trip.

The tasting rooms themselves often feel eclectic and varied — from elegant modern estates to rustic hidden gems tucked into the hills. Many guests are drawn to Leelanau for its relaxed pace and cinematic scenery. It’s ideal for travelers who enjoy discovering places organically and lingering a little longer between stops.

Wine-wise, Leelanau is especially known for aromatic whites like Riesling, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay, though there’s increasing attention around Pinot Noir and sparkling wines as well.

The Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail

Old Mission feels more intimate and concentrated. The peninsula is narrower, with vineyards unfolding almost continuously along the ridge between East and West Grand Traverse Bay. The water is nearly always in view, giving the entire drive a luminous, coastal atmosphere.

Because the wineries are closer together, the touring experience feels slightly more polished and efficient, making it especially popular for shorter luxury tours or guests wanting a seamless afternoon of tastings with less driving time.

Old Mission wineries often carry a refined, boutique feel, and the wines are especially celebrated for crisp Rieslings, balanced Pinot Gris, sparkling wines, and increasingly sophisticated cool-climate reds.

  • These are vineyard charters crafted with hospitality, local insight, and editorial sensibility by a seasoned professional photographer.

  • Every tour begins as a conversation. Some guests already know the wineries they’ve dreamed of visiting, while others simply know the kind of day they want to have — relaxed and scenic, lively and social, intimate and quiet, modern and elevated, or somewhere in between.

After your reservation is confirmed, we’ll connect by email to learn more about your group’s preferences in wines, tasting experiences, atmosphere, scenery, and pacing. From there, the itinerary becomes a thoughtful collaboration shaped around your ideal version of Northern Michigan wine country.

Whether you arrive with a carefully curated wish list or just a few ideas and an adventurous spirit, we’re happy to guide the process and design a seamless experience for you. Together, we’ll determine which wineries make the most sense, and whether the beauty of Old Mission Peninsula, Leelanau Peninsula, or a blend of both best fits your day.

  • The pricing is a time-based model with options of either 4, 5, or 6-hour excursions. The rate is a flat $105 per hour.

  • Yes, you’ll receive a full refund if you’re able to cancel 7 days before your reservation. And if we need to cancel on our end because of either mechanical problems or family emergency, we’ll notify you and refund you as soon as possible.

  • Travel is just as important as the destination. Our tours begin aboard a luxury Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

The experience of riding in a Jeep Grand Wagoneer feels less like transportation and more like settling into a private lounge between vineyards.

The ride itself is exceptionally composed and quiet. Roads between wineries become part of the experience rather than simply the time between stops. Guests can relax, talk comfortably, enjoy the scenery, or simply sink into the seats with a bottle of water and the next vineyard ahead. The suspension smooths out rough pavement beautifully, while the panoramic glass roof keeps northern Michigan’s shoreline light, vineyards, and rolling countryside present throughout the drive.

The McIntosh sound system also deserves mention. It is one of the rare automotive audio systems that genuinely feels audiophile-grade.

As our company grows, so will our collection of premium touring vehicles, allowing us to accommodate a variety of group sizes while maintaining the same elevated atmosphere of comfort, style, and personalized hospitality. Every vehicle in our future fleet will be selected with the same philosophy in mind: relaxed luxury, beautiful travel, and an experience that feels effortless from the very first mile.

  • Our drivers are dedicated to creating an experience that feels welcoming, seamless, and genuinely personal from beginning to end. Because of their professionalism, attentiveness, character, and hospitality, gratuities of 20–30% are customary and deeply appreciated.

For convenience, gratuities may be provided in cash or through Venmo at the conclusion of your tour.

  • For the comfort and safety of all guests, outside alcohol is not permitted inside the touring vehicle. Between winery visits, we provide complimentary bottled water to help everyone stay refreshed and hydrated throughout the day.

    We’ll also provide some snacks!

Our goal is to create a relaxed, comfortable experience from the first pickup to the final vineyard stop.

  • In some cases — and it often depends on the winery, the season, the day of the week, and the size of your group. Some wineries welcome walk-ins, while others may require advance reservations, particularly during peak summer and fall weekends.

Once your tour is booked, we help coordinate any necessary reservation logistics and thoughtfully build an itinerary around what is available and best suited to your group. Our goal is to create a seamless, relaxed experience so you can simply enjoy the day without worrying about the details.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

  • Yes — minors are welcome to ride along as part of your private group experience. We simply ask that children remain with your group during winery visits and respect the atmosphere and policies of each venue.

At this time, pets are unfortunately not permitted inside the touring vehicles or at many of the winery destinations we visit. We appreciate your understanding.

  • No — all tours are completely private and reserved exclusively for the guests included in the original booking. We do not combine separate parties or add additional winery guests to your vehicle during the experience.

This allows us to maintain a more comfortable, personalized, and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, tailored entirely to your group.
